Western Copper (TSE:WRN) has released an update.
Western Copper and Gold Corporation has announced the commencement of a comprehensive metallurgical testing program at its Casino Copper-Gold Project, following a successful 2023 drilling program that yielded promising results, including higher grade intersections in the Core Zone. The testing, to be conducted with the collaboration of Rio Tinto Canada and Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, aims to refine the project’s geometallurgical model by analyzing a variety of mineralization grades through flotation tests. The findings from the drill program and subsequent metallurgical testing could have significant implications for the project’s resource classification and extraction strategies.
