Ltd. has taken over full ownership and operation of Cariboo Pulp and Paper by dissolving its joint venture with Mercer International Inc., with no financial penalties involved in the termination. The mill, a key player in the Quesnel, British Columbia community since 1972, boasts an annual production capacity of 340,000 tonnes of NBSK pulp and employs nearly 300 people. The transition aligns with West Fraser’s strategic focus on mill operations and provides stability for its workforce.
