United Microelectronics (UMC) has released an update.
United Microelectronics has completed a significant acquisition of software for its production, with a total transaction price of NT$462,966,756 from SYNOPSYS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED, TAIWAN BRANCH, a non-related party. Additionally, the company disclosed differences in its 2023 consolidated financial statements when reporting under Taiwan’s International Financial Reporting Standards (TIFRSs) and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs) issued by the IASB, mainly due to the timing of recognition of additional income tax on unappropriated earnings and the accounting treatment of treasury stock.
