On October 24, 2025, UBS Group AG announced significant changes to its Board of Directors and Group Executive Board. Lukas Gähwiler, Vice Chairman of the Board, will retire and not seek re-election at the AGM in April 2026, concluding a 45-year career in the financial services industry. He played a key role in integrating Credit Suisse into UBS. Markus Ronner is nominated to succeed him as Vice Chairman. Concurrently, UBS announced organizational changes effective January 1, 2026, including new roles for Michelle Bereaux, Beatriz Martin, and Mike Dargan, aimed at strengthening compliance, operational risk control, and technological advancements. These changes are part of UBS’s strategic efforts to enhance its operational efficiency and governance structure.
