TransAlta Corp (TSE:TA) has released an update.
TransAlta Corporation has joined forces with over thirty other water licensees and the Alberta Government in a water-sharing initiative aimed at managing water flows in the Bow River Basin. The collaboration will involve TransAlta utilizing its water management capabilities to help mitigate potential drought conditions by maximizing water storage in the spring and regulating river flows during the summer. The company assures that this agreement aligns with its electricity generation goals and will not materially impact its hydroelectric operations.
