TotalEnergies SE (GB:TTE) has released an update.
TotalEnergies SE is set to become the sole operator of SapuraOMV, a notable gas producer in Malaysia, by purchasing an additional 50% stake for $530 million, with the deal expected to close in the second half of 2024. The acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its gas production and focus on low-cost, low-emission assets. The full ownership of SapuraOMV will strengthen TotalEnergies’ partnership with Petronas and enhance its presence in Malaysia.
