TotalEnergies SE (GB:TTE) has released an update.
TotalEnergies has expanded its influence in the oil-rich Moho field offshore Congo by acquiring an additional 10% interest, while divesting its majority stakes in the mature Nkossa and Nsoko II fields to Trident Energy. The strategic move aligns with TotalEnergies’ focus on low-cost, low-emission assets and reinforces their long-term commitment to Congo with plans to drill an exploration well by summer 2024. The transactions are pending customary regulatory approvals and the completion of Trident Energy’s acquisition of Chevron Congo.
