Standard Chartered (GB:STAN) has released an update.
Standard Chartered PLC has recently bought back 1,165,959 of its own shares at prices ranging from 678.4000 to 691.0000 pence per share, with the intention to cancel them, which will reduce the number of ordinary shares in issue and consequently the total voting rights. This buy-back, part of a program announced on 26 February 2024, is in line with pre-set parameters and regulatory requirements. Following the cancellation, Standard Chartered will have 2,589,973,603 ordinary shares in issue.
