POET Technologies Inc. has announced its entrance into the optical module market with the launch of Wavelight, an 800G transceiver designed for AI and cloud data center networks. The Wavelight module integrates the company’s Optical Interposer technology, marking a significant commercial milestone and positioning POET to address the rapidly growing demand for high-speed AI network solutions. The company will commence customer sampling of the Wavelight modules in the third quarter of 2024, targeting a market projected to reach $1.7 billion by 2027.
