Lithium Americas Corp. (TSE:LAC) has released an update.
Lithium Americas Corp. successfully closed a $275 million underwritten public offering, issuing 55 million shares at $5 each, to fund its Thacker Pass lithium project in Nevada. The company, led by CEO Jonathan Evans, aims to meet financial conditions for a Department of Energy loan and a GM investment, which will enable full-scale construction supporting U.S. energy security. The funds are expected to fully cover the first phase of construction for the Thacker Pass project, which has completed site preparation and is advancing procurement and engineering efforts.
