Lithium Americas Corp. (TSE:LAC) has released an update.
Lithium Americas Corp has launched an underwritten public offering, pricing 55 million common shares at $5 each to raise $275 million. This capital boost is earmarked for advancing the construction of their Thacker Pass lithium project in Nevada, with the offering expected to close on April 22, 2024. The company’s financial strategy, augmented by a $2.26 billion loan from the U.S. Department of Energy and investments from General Motors, aims to substantially fund the estimated capital expenditures for the project.
