In fiscal year 2025, Indian Energy Exchange Ltd. achieved its highest ever traded electricity volume of 121 billion units, marking a 19% year-on-year increase. The company also saw significant growth in its green market and renewable energy certificates trading, with a 171% and 136% increase respectively. The proactive measures by the Ministry of Power, including ensuring ample coal supply and operational capacity of power plants, contributed to sufficient supply liquidity and competitive power prices on the exchange, with the Day Ahead Market price declining by 15% year-on-year.
