Golden Minerals Company has regained full control of the El Quevar silver project in Argentina after Barrick Gold Corporation’s withdrawal from their Earn-In Agreement. The termination, effective April 20, 2024, coincides with Golden Minerals’ strategic shift towards exploration and development, focusing on the high-grade Yaxtché silver deposit and a new gold prospect. Barrick’s departure comes after investing over $6 million and identifying promising gold values, leaving Golden Minerals optimistic about the project’s extensive underexplored land.
