Empire Company Limited reported a stable fiscal 2024 third quarter with earnings per share of $0.54 and adjusted EPS of $0.62, along with a 1.9% increase in same-store sales excluding fuel. Despite a challenging economic environment with cautious consumers, the company generated strong free cash flow of $349 million and continued its share buyback program, repurchasing $340 million in shares. President & CEO Michael Medline highlighted the company’s resilience and commitment to providing value to customers, including a new initiative to lower prices on key items.
