Ecopetrol (EC) has released an update.
Colombia’s oil giant Ecopetrol has successfully secured 19.9% of McDermott International Ltd’s share capital in convertible preferred shares for its subsidiary Reficar. This comes as a result of the District Court of Amsterdam’s approval of the financial restructuring plan of McDermott’s subsidiary, CB&I N.V. The judicial decision marks a victory for Reficar in asserting its rights and strengthens Ecopetrol’s international footprint in the energy industry.
