Companhia Paranaense De Energia (Copel) has reported a substantial 10.3% growth in their grid market’s electricity consumption in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period last year, largely driven by higher temperatures. The number of customers using Micro and Mini Distributed Generation (MMGD) surged by 34.7%, with MMGD’s offset energy increasing by 55%. Significant rises in consumption were noted across residential, commercial, rural, and industrial sectors, contributing to an overall increase in energy sales for the company.
