City of London Investment Trust PLC has announced a market purchase of 168,482 of its own shares at a price of 425.0p each, which will be held in Treasury. This buyback leaves the total issued ordinary share capital at 502,664,868 shares, with 4,268,482 in Treasury. The total voting rights in the company now stand at 33,286,107, which is the denominator for shareholders to calculate notifications of interest changes under the FCA’s rules.
