Centrica plc (GB:CNA) has released an update.
Centrica plc has announced the purchase of 1,844,000 of its own ordinary shares at a price of 131.8692 pence each, as part of its ongoing share repurchase program initiated in October 2023. This latest acquisition brings the total number of shares bought back since the program began to over 200 million, costing nearly £280 million, excluding additional costs. Following the transaction, the company holds over 543 million shares in treasury, reducing the number of shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) to approximately 5.3 billion.
