Centrica plc (GB:CNA) has released an update.
Centrica plc has continued its share repurchase program, acquiring 1,844,000 of its own shares at an average price of 132.0850 pence per share, which will be retained as treasury shares. This latest transaction is part of a larger buyback initiative announced in October 2023, bringing the total number of shares purchased to over 203 million, at a total cost of nearly £285 million. Following this purchase, Centrica’s treasury holds over 546 million shares, with more than 5.3 billion shares remaining in issue.
