Centrica plc has announced the purchase of 1,840,000 of its own ordinary shares at a price of 131.3407 pence per share, as part of its 2023-2024 share repurchase program. After this acquisition, the company holds over half a billion shares in treasury and has over 5 billion ordinary shares in issue. The buyback, conducted through BNP Paribas Financial Markets S.N.C., represents a continued investment in the company’s stock, reflecting Centrica’s ongoing commitment to shareholder value.
