Independent proxy advisory firm Glass Lewis has recommended that shareholders of Canopy Growth vote in favor of a special resolution to create exchangeable shares, aiding the company’s advancement in the U.S. market. This move is part of Canopy Growth’s strategy to accelerate its entry into the U.S. cannabis industry through a new holding company, Canopy USA, LLC. Shareholders are urged to vote before the deadline on April 10, 2024, with the special meeting scheduled for April 12.
