British American Tobacco (BTI) has released an update.
British American Tobacco plc has executed a share buyback program, purchasing 300,000 ordinary shares at prices ranging from 2355.00p to 2373.50p on March 26, 2024. Following the buyback, these shares are set to be cancelled, which will leave the company with 2,234,385,416 ordinary shares in issue and an additional 220,522,014 shares held in treasury. The move is part of a program announced on March 18, 2024, subsequent to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting held on April 19, 2023.
