Braskem SA ( (BAK) ) has shared an update.

On June 24, 2026, Braskem’s board of directors held an extraordinary meeting in a non-presential format with full attendance to address the company’s financial situation and creditor relations. The board unanimously approved a plan covering Braskem and certain controlled companies to seek a consensual, orderly solution with financial creditors through mediation and court-supervised protective measures.

The board authorized the initiation of a Brazilian judicial proceeding for emergency precautionary relief under Law 11.101/2005 and, if needed, the adoption of protective measures abroad, including potential Chapter 15 proceedings in the United States. Directors also appointed Antonio Reinaldo Rabelo Filho as foreign representative and empowered management to take all necessary legal and operational steps, signaling a proactive move to shield the Braskem Group during negotiations and preserve stability for creditors and other stakeholders.
