BP plc has released its first quarter trading statement for 2024, indicating that upstream production is expected to be higher than the previous quarter with notable impacts on financial results from price fluctuations in oil and gas markets. The company forecasts adverse effects on its gas & low carbon energy and oil production & operations segments, while its customers and products segment might see mixed results with improved refining margins but weaker fuel margins.
