BlackRock TCP Capital Corp. successfully completed its acquisition of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation, merging the latter into its subsidiary, resulting in the former stockholders of the acquired company receiving 0.3834 shares of TCPC common stock per share they held. This strategic move significantly expands TCPC’s market presence, with approximately 27.8 million new shares issued. The merger also led to the dissolution of the acquired company’s previous executive team. The announcement was made via a press release on March 18, 2024.
