Barrick Gold Corporation has inaugurated its Barrick Academy at the former Buzwagi mine site, aiming to provide specialized training for over 2,000 employees in the coming two years. The academy, part of Barrick’s commitment to leave a lasting positive legacy, will offer programs to enhance leadership and performance among managers. Additionally, the development of an airport terminal and the transformation of the mine into a Special Economic Zone is anticipated to significantly boost the local economy and create sustainable job opportunities.
