Barrick Gold Corporation has embarked on a new exploration venture by signing an earn-in agreement with Geophysx Jamaica, gaining access to around 4,000 square kilometers of land with geological potential akin to its successful Pueblo Viejo mine in the Dominican Republic. The collaboration seeks to combine Barrick’s technical and financial prowess with Geophysx’s extensive local exploration experience and datasets, aiming to uncover new world-class resources in the underexplored region of Jamaica. Both companies express a strong commitment to environmentally responsible practices and the socio-economic development of local communities through this partnership.
