Barrick Gold Corporation is set to expand its mining endeavors in the Democratic Republic of Congo, building upon the achievements of the Kibali mine, Africa’s largest gold mine. The company plans to explore new gold and copper prospects and is also advancing its commitment to sustainability with a transition to renewable energy, including a 16MW solar plant slated for 2025. Furthermore, Barrick is supporting local businesses and biodiversity through significant investments in community and environmental initiatives.
