Barclays plc (GB:BARC) has released an update.
Barclays PLC has recently bought back 412,613 of its own shares at an average price of 197.0538p, which will be cancelled, reducing the total issued share capital to 15,006,733,205 ordinary shares. This move comes as part of a larger buy-back program initiated on February 21, 2024, where the company has acquired over 201 million shares. The cancellation of these shares is expected to potentially affect shareholders’ notification obligations under the FCA’s rules.
