Barclays plc (GB:BARC) has released an update.
Barclays PLC has recently executed a share buyback, purchasing 7.28 million shares at an average price of around 191.51p, with the intention of canceling them to reduce their issued share capital. After this transaction, the total number of Barclays shares with voting rights stands at 15 billion. The buyback is part of a larger program initiated on 21 February 2024, which has seen the company acquire over 201 million shares.
