This agreement ensures that the company will cover legal expenses and related costs for these individuals if they face legal action in connection to their roles within the company. Meanwhile, Avangrid is also carefully considering an acquisition proposal from Iberdrola, S.A. for $34.25 per share, although it remains uncertain if this transaction will proceed. This has led to the postponement of their annual shareholder meeting, deviating from their usual summer schedule.
