Assure Holdings Corp. has reached a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice, agreeing to pay $1 million to resolve claims without admitting liability under various fraud and false claims laws. This settlement concludes an investigation into Assure’s billing practices, particularly concerning Medicare Advantage plans, where a third-party biller had submitted claims erroneously. Assure has returned these payments and the settlement will be paid in monthly installments over a year.
