Albany International Corp. is a leading global advanced textiles and materials processing company, primarily operating in the machine clothing and engineered composites sectors. In its latest earnings report for the first quarter of 2025, Albany International Corp. reported a decrease in net revenues to $288.8 million from $313.3 million in the same period last year, reflecting challenges in both its Machine Clothing and Albany Engineered Composites segments.

The company’s net income for the quarter was $17.4 million, down from $27.4 million in the previous year, with earnings per share also declining to $0.56 from $0.87. The Machine Clothing segment saw a reduction in revenues to $174.7 million, while the Albany Engineered Composites segment reported revenues of $114.1 million, both reflecting a decrease compared to the previous year. Operating income also fell to $28.3 million from $39.0 million, impacted by restructuring expenses and changes in contract profitability.

Despite the decline in earnings, Albany International Corp. managed to maintain a strong balance sheet with total assets increasing to $1.69 billion from $1.65 billion at the end of 2024. The company also saw an improvement in comprehensive income, which rose to $31.2 million from $13.5 million, driven by favorable foreign currency translations and pension adjustments.
