Shareholders of Aeterna Zentaris Inc. and Ceapro Inc. have given the green light to a merger between the two biopharmaceutical development companies, with a significant majority voting in favor of the all-stock transaction at their respective special meetings. The approvals mark a key step towards combining the entities, which is expected to create a stronger, more diversified company. The resolutions passed include the issuance of new shares, an increase in the number of directors, and the conditional election of several new board members.
