ETF Overview
Corgi Growth & Technology 10% Structured Buffer ETF - August Series
Corgi Growth & Technology 10% Structured Buffer ETF — August Series (QAU) is an actively managed, structured-outcome ETF that gives investors targeted exposure to the Nasdaq-100 (via the price return of the Invesco QQQ Trust) while layering a built-in downside hedge. Each annual “August Series” begins on August 1 and uses exchange-traded FLEX options to construct a tailored, one-year option sleeve that seeks to buffer the first 10% of declines in QQQ’s price return while capping upside participation at a predetermined level for that series.
In practice, QAU aims to deliver the price performance of QQQ up to a capped return for the 12‑month period, absorbing losses on the initial 10% drop in QQQ’s price before the fund’s downside protection is exhausted. The manager actively selects option strikes and structures (via FLEX contracts) to balance the level of upside cap, the cost of protection, and the fund’s targeted buffer — a flexibility that standard listed options don’t offer and that lets the fund calibrate risk/reward for each annual cycle.
This ETF is designed for investors who want concentrated growth-and-technology exposure rooted in the Nasdaq‑100 but prefer a disciplined, time-limited hedge against moderate downside moves. Important trade-offs to consider: upside is limited to the series cap (so strong rallies beyond that point won’t be fully captured), protection only applies to the defined 10% buffer and only for that annual term, and performance may diverge from QQQ because of option costs, the cap, and active management. Outcomes are not guaranteed — losses beyond the 10% buffer are possible if the index falls more sharply — but QAU offers a structured, transparent way to pursue Nasdaq-100 upside with a built-in, annualized partial downside hedge.
