ETF Overview
m+ Income Momentum Autocall ETF
MPIM — the m+ Income Momentum Autocall ETF — is an actively managed, structured‑outcome ETF that seeks to deliver high monthly income by investing in a diversified, S&P 500–focused niche of equity‑linked autocallable strategies. Rather than owning the underlying stocks directly, MPIM uses swaps to synthetically track a laddered portfolio of up to 52 autocallable notes that reference a momentum‑based, volatility‑managed U.S. equity futures index (S&P 500‑oriented).
The fund’s core idea is income generation with reduced downside risk through two layered design features. First, each autocallable note can pay periodic coupons and may be called early if the reference index performs favorably, creating the potential for steady monthly distributions. Second, the reference index itself applies momentum and volatility controls to adjust exposure to U.S. equity futures, aiming to dampen drawdowns and smooth returns through turbulent markets. By laddering dozens of synthetic autocallable notes with staggered terms, MPIM seeks to smooth income streams, lower reinvestment timing risk, and provide a more predictable monthly payout profile than a single‑note approach.
MPIM is positioned for income‑oriented investors who want higher regular distributions tied to S&P 500‑style equity performance but are willing to accept the tradeoffs common to structured products: capped upside when notes are called, path‑dependent payoffs, counterparty exposure from swaps, and structural complexity. The ETF wrapper offers intraday liquidity and broad diversification across many staggered autocall positions, allowing investors to access a sophisticated income strategy in a single, exchange‑traded vehicle.
