ETF Overview
m+ DualYield Autocall ETF
m+ DualYield Autocall ETF (MPDY) is an actively managed, structured-outcome ETF designed to deliver high monthly income while seeking to reduce downside risk versus a straight long equity position. The fund builds a diversified, laddered portfolio of 52 to 312 synthetic autocallable notes — replicated via total return swaps — whose payoffs reference a leveraged, volatility‑managed S&P 500 futures index. By combining autocallable structures with a volatility‑managed underlying, MPDY aims to generate consistent coupon-like distributions and moderate portfolio volatility over time.
Autocallable notes typically pay regular coupons and can be automatically redeemed (“autocalled”) early if the reference index reaches predetermined levels; they also incorporate barrier/knock-in features that can limit downside exposure relative to an unprotected equity holding. MPDY’s laddering across many note maturities staggers knockout and payment dates, smoothing income and reducing timing risk. Using swaps to synthetically replicate these notes allows the fund to target the desired structured payoffs without directly issuing or buying the individual retail notes.
The fund’s niche is income-oriented investors seeking structured, S&P 500‑linked yield rather than pure capital appreciation. Active management adjusts the ladder, coupon targets, and the volatility management parameters of the underlying index to adapt to changing market conditions. Investors should note the strategy’s complexity and risks — including counterparty exposure from swaps, capped upside when autocalls trigger, potential principal loss in severe market drops, and the effects of leverage — which make MPDY most suitable for those comfortable with structured‑product mechanics and seeking income in exchange for tradeoffs to traditional equity return profiles.
