ETF Overview
Corgi US Equities 10% Structured Buffer ETF
Corgi US Equities 10% Structured Buffer ETF (JUNC) is an actively managed, S&P 500–focused structured outcome ETF that seeks to give investors defined, year‑long downside protection while preserving upside participation up to a pre-set cap. Each annual series begins on June 1 and uses FLEX options and cash management to attempt to deliver the price return of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) up to a capped level, while buffering the first 10% of index losses over the one‑year term.
How it works: the fund allocates capital between S&P 500 exposure (via SPY), short‑term cash instruments, and a tailored options program implemented with FLEX options—exchange‑cleared, customizable options—so the manager can select strikes and expirations to construct a collar‑style outcome. The options package is designed to absorb the first 10% of downside during the June 1 to May 31 series, and to finance that protection by accepting a cap on upside returns above a strike set at the series start. Because the strategy resets annually, the buffer and cap are applied on a per‑series basis.
Who it’s for: JUNC is aimed at investors who want meaningful participation in broad U.S. large‑cap equities with a defined downside hedge—those willing to trade unlimited upside for a known, time‑limited cushion against modest market declines. It can be useful as a core equity sleeve for more conservative equity allocation or as a complement to riskier holdings.
Key considerations: the fund “seeks to” rather than guarantees outcomes; protection applies only to the first 10% of a series’ decline and does not eliminate losses beyond that threshold. The capped upside means strong rallies above the cap will not be fully captured. Performance depends on option pricing, timing, and active strike selection; option strategies and the use of FLEX options introduce strategy, liquidity and execution risks. Investors should weigh potential benefits (defined, annual downside mitigation and structured upside exposure to the S&P 500) against costs, complexity and the possibility of tracking differences relative to direct SPY ownership.
