ETF Overview

MicroSectors -3x Short High Yield Corporate Bond (HYG) ETNs

MicroSectors -3x Short High Yield Corporate Bond (HYG) ETNs (HYGD) is a leveraged, inverse exchange-traded note designed to deliver -3x the daily return of the VettaFi High Yield Corporate Bond Fund-Tracking Index. Positioned in the Corporate, Broad-based category with a focused niche on High Yield credit across broad maturities, this product targets traders seeking short-duration, tactical exposure to moves in the high‑yield corporate bond complex rather than a long-term buy-and-hold investment. Because it resets daily, HYGD is engineered to magnify short-term moves: if the underlying index falls 1% in a trading day, the ETN seeks to rise roughly 3% (before fees and expenses); conversely, a 1% daily rise in the index would aim to produce about a 3% loss in the ETN. The note achieves its objective via derivatives and financing arrangements and therefore carries leverage risk, counterparty and issuer credit risk (as an ETN), and the potential for performance drift from the index over periods longer than one day due to compounding and volatility. HYGD is most appropriate for sophisticated or active investors and traders using it for short-term hedges or speculative positions on high-yield corporate bond performance; investors should understand the product’s daily reset feature, higher risk profile, and suitability limits before allocating capital.
