ETF Overview
Tuttle Capital Heavy Assets Low Obsolescence ETF
Tuttle Capital Heavy Assets Low Obsolescence ETF (HALX) is a large‑cap, size-and-style ETF that targets U.S. companies with tangible, long‑lived assets and business models judged to be relatively resilient to disruption from artificial intelligence and rapid technological change. The fund tracks an equal‑weighted index of large‑cap U.S. firms selected for high asset intensity (property, plant & equipment, inventory, infrastructure and other durable capital) and for operating characteristics tied to steady, asset‑backed cash flows — for example long contract tails, regulated or monopolistic market positions, essential infrastructure or physical-asset driven supply chains.
By combining a large‑cap universe with a focused, broad‑based niche — “heavy assets” and “low obsolescence” — HALX seeks to offer investors exposure to companies that may be less susceptible to algorithmic replacement or rapid tech turnover than data‑centric growth names. The equal‑weight construction reduces concentration in the largest constituents, emphasizing a diversified basket of firms across sectors that are typically asset-intensive (such as industrials, utilities, materials, energy and real estate), while preserving the large‑cap quality of the holdings.
HALX is positioned for investors who want a defensive or complementary tilt within their equity allocation: it can serve as a way to express large‑cap equity exposure with an emphasis on tangible assets, predictable cash generation and lower structural vulnerability to AI-driven disruption. The strategy is rules‑based and periodically rebalanced to maintain the equal‑weight and asset‑intensity criteria, offering a systematic approach to capture the potential long‑term benefits of asset-backed, low‑obsolescence businesses in a single ETF wrapper.
