ETF Overview
Corgi U.S. Equities 30% Structured Buffer ETF - August Series
Corgi U.S. Equities 30% Structured Buffer ETF — August Series (CTAU) is a defined‑outcome, structured‑outcome ETF designed to give investors S&P 500 exposure with a built‑in downside hedge. The fund references the price return (excluding dividends) of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) and seeks to deliver that price performance up to a predetermined upside cap while providing a 30% structured buffer against losses over the fund’s August Series outcome period.
How it works: CTAU uses options and other derivative overlays to construct a predetermined payoff profile for the outcome period. At maturity of the August Series the strategy aims to absorb the first 30% of SPY’s losses (the “buffer”), protecting investors from a portion of downside risk, in exchange for limiting upside participation to a capped amount. The upside cap and buffer are set at the start of each series and are stated before management fees and expenses; dividends from the underlying index are not included in the targeted price-return participation.
Who it’s for: CTAU is aimed at investors who want targeted equity exposure to the S&P 500 with explicit, time‑bound downside protection—suitable as a tactical allocation or as a complement to a core equity position for those willing to accept capped upside in exchange for defined loss mitigation.
Key considerations: The buffer applies at the outcome date (not continuously), upside is limited by the cap, returns exclude dividends, and performance is net of management fees and series-specific costs. Investors should review the current series’ cap and terms before investing to understand the tradeoffs for that August Series.
