Within its Technology arm, Rafina Innovations Inc. is actively engaged in the creation, development, and market introduction of medical devices, innovative methods, and products. This work covers a broad range of fields, including but not limited to, prosthetics, orthotics, general rehabilitation, bioengineering, mobility, diabetes and diabetic foot care, tissue mechanics, ultrasonics, medical signal processing and analysis, general medical technology, orthopedics, and robotic surgery. Additionally, the company licenses its proprietary technological advancements. Founded in 2007, the company changed its name from HCi Viocare to Rafina Innovations Inc. in July 2018. Its base of operations is in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
