Silverstar Holdings Ltd.
Silverstar Holdings Ltd., through its various divisions, distributes interactive digital entertainment worldwide. The company issues software titles compatible with numerous gaming systems, such as Microsoft's Xbox and Xbox 360 consoles, Sony's PlayStation 2 and PSP, Nintendo's Wii and DS handhelds, along with releases for personal computers, mobile platforms, and other digital channels. In addition to its gaming ventures, Silverstar Holdings Ltd. also develops high-speed wireless connectivity solutions for the cellular telecommunications industry. The distribution strategy for Silverstar's games varies regionally: products are sold directly in the United Kingdom; across the rest of Europe, they are available either directly or through independent software resellers; and in North America, sales are facilitated by authorized third-party distributors. These offerings can be acquired both as physical disc-based media and through online digital downloads. The organization, established in 1995, was formerly known as Leisureplanet Holdings, Ltd. before adopting the name Silverstar Holdings Ltd. in December 2000. Its principal offices are situated in Hamilton, Bermuda.
