Bulls Say, Bears Say

Bulls Say
Sharp Revenue ReboundThe pronounced 2025 revenue rebound indicates that the company can generate materially higher activity from its climate-project platform. If project development and credit commercialization continue scaling, this top-line expansion could support operating leverage and greater market reach over the coming quarters.
Multiple Carbon-Related Revenue StreamsThe company monetizes its climate activities through credit sales, project services, and distribution rather than relying on one stated activity alone. This model can create several ways to capture value as projects progress from origination and verification toward commercial environmental-attribute sales.
Integrated Nature-Based Climate PlatformOperating across project development, ecosystem restoration, monitoring or verification-related work, and credit commercialization gives DGB a connected role across the nature-based climate value chain. That positioning may help it retain value as projects advance from development into issuance and sales.
Bears Say
Persistent UnprofitabilityThe sharp revenue increase has not translated into sustainable profitability: losses widened and operating margins remained materially negative in 2025. Without evidence of improving cost absorption, continued losses could constrain reinvestment and weaken the company’s ability to scale its project platform internally.
Accelerating Cash BurnPersistent negative operating cash flow and sharply worse free cash flow show that growth is consuming rather than generating cash. Continued outflows increase dependence on external funding and may restrict the company’s ability to finance new projects, operations, or required development spending.
Stressed Balance SheetNegative equity combined with materially higher debt creates a fragile capital structure and limits financial flexibility. The imbalance raises ongoing solvency and refinancing risk, particularly because the company is also loss-making and generating negative cash flow from operations.
