Bulls Say, Bears Say
Bulls Say
Revenue ReboundA 29.3% TTM revenue rebound signals a meaningful recovery in end-market demand and order flow. Sustained top-line growth supports better fixed-cost absorption, improves utilization and scale benefits, and provides a durable base for multi‑period margin and cash flow improvement.
Sector-Competitive MarginsHealthy gross and EBITDA margins reflect durable product mix strength, manufacturing efficiency and pricing power in engineered hydraulic and high‑pressure systems. These margins underpin long‑term competitive advantage and the ability to reinvest in product development and aftermarket support.
Conservative Balance SheetLow and declining leverage with an expanded equity base provides financial flexibility to fund capex, bolt‑on M&A or cyclical downturns without large refinancing risk. A resilient balance sheet supports sustained investment in operations and aftermarket channels over the medium term.
Bears Say
Weak Cash ConversionDespite positive FCF, cash conversion lags reported earnings: FCF is ~76% of net income and operating cash flow covers less than half of EBITDA. This suggests working‑capital or timing pressures that can constrain sustainable reinvestment, dividends, or deleveraging plans.
Declining EPSNegative EPS growth indicates per‑share profitability has weakened even with top‑line recovery. Causes may include dilution, margin normalization, or non‑recurring items. Persistent EPS decline can undermine returns to shareholders and limit financial flexibility for strategic initiatives.
Margin NormalizationNet margins have normalized below peak cycle levels, reflecting either competitive pricing, higher input or SG&A pressure, or mix changes. If structural rather than cyclical, this compression reduces long‑term return on capital and limits incremental profitability from future revenue growth.

Company Description
Interpump Group SPA
Based in Sant'Ilario d'Enza, Italy, and established in 1977, Interpump Group S.p.A. is a prominent global manufacturer and distributor of high-pressure plunger pumps, serving markets across Italy, Europe, North America, the Far East, Oceania, and other international regions. The company's operations are divided into two main divisions: the Hydraulic Sector and the Water Jetting Sector. The Hydraulic Sector focuses on the production and sale of vital components for hydraulic systems. Its product portfolio includes power take-offs, which transfer mechanical energy from industrial vehicle engines; a diverse range of hydraulic cylinders, such as front-end, underbody, and double-acting types, crucial for construction vehicles, agricultural machinery, earthmoving equipment, cranes, and waste compactors; and other essential elements like hydraulic hoses, fittings, various pumps, directional controls, valves, and related accessories. The Water Jetting Sector specializes in high-pressure pumps and comprehensive systems designed for fluid management across numerous industrial applications. Its high-pressure plunger pumps are integral to devices like pressure washers, car wash installations, forced lubrication systems for machine tools, and inverse osmosis units for seawater desalination. Additionally, its very high-pressure pumps and systems are employed for demanding tasks such as deep cleaning of surfaces and ship hulls, removal of machining burrs, precision cutting and stripping of materials like cement, asphalt, and paint from various surfaces (stone, cement, metal), and the cutting of solid substances. This segment also undertakes sheet metal processing, including drawing, blanking, and pressing, and supplies advanced machinery suchators, piston pumps, and valves for the food processing, chemical, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.
