Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary
The call presented strong underlying operational momentum, including U.S. and international market share gains, improving customer engagement, rapid product development, prediction-market progress, and planned cost savings. However, these positives were offset by a 25% decline in adjusted EBITDA, unfavorable sports results, reduced 2026 guidance, a $873 million Brazil impairment, higher legal contingencies, elevated leverage, paused buybacks, and continued competitive and regulatory pressure. The positive operating trends and long-term opportunities were balanced by significant near-term financial and execution challenges.
For 2026, full year group revenue midpoint guidance was reduced by $300 million to $17.61 billion and full year adjusted EBITDA guidance by $160 million to $2.495 billion; group transaction restructuring and integration costs will now be approximately $620 million, an increase of approximately $120 million. Leverage was 4.6x at Q3, with expectations to deleverage significantly through 2027 and return to the 2 to 2.5x target range over the medium term. The company expects to deliver an additional £500 million in gross operating cost and capital expenditure savings by 2029, while maintaining its target of 5% to 10% annual growth. For 2027, promotional spend is expected to remain at similar levels in Q4 and throughout 2027, marketing intensity at the elevated levels observed for 2026, net revenue margin broadly flat year over year, and cost of sales as a percentage of revenue at 58% for 2026 to remain at the same level. Market making guidance remains $50 million revenue and around circa $40 million EBITDA for this year, building next year; international EBITDA growth is expected to be at the high end of 5 to 10%, with revenue growth slightly lower.
- Underlying U.S. Sportsbook Performance Ahead of ExpectationsU.S. sportsbook performance was ahead of expectations in Q3, with Flutter gaining market share. Actions to increase share of wallet and accelerate the product roadmap delivered market share gains in August and September.
- International Market Share GainsFlutter reported market share gains in the UK and Ireland, Italy, and across Central and Eastern Europe. Management said consistent execution and transformation programs supported these gains.
- International Growth Target MaintainedManagement remains confident that the diversified international portfolio can continue taking market share and delivering the target of 5% to 10% annual growth.
- Strong Alberta iGaming LaunchFanDuel achieved more than 20% market share across Q3 in Alberta, significantly surpassing its Ontario launch and reaching that share within the first quarter.
- FanDuel Predicts Product and Engagement ProgressFanDuel Predicts was described as generally competitive following its integration onto crypto.com and delivery of the FanDuel 1 app solution. Retention and frequency metrics were already 80% to 85% of OSB, and October trading volumes almost trebled compared with July.
- Prediction Markets Customer MetricsFanDuel Predicts had about 140 thousand active customers on the platform in October. Management said customers acquired showed behavior similar to typical sportsbook customers, and the business was acquiring customers at a materially lower CPA than the sportsbook.
- Market Making Guidance on TrackFlutter is trading across multiple exchanges and sports and believes its expertise in correlated-event markets, parlays, and complex products is a differentiator. Management remains confident in its 2026 market-making guidance of $50 million of revenue and around $40 million of EBITDA.
- Snai Integration Reached Pre-Migration Share LevelsAfter migrating Snai onto the Sisal platform in the summer, market share bounced back to pre-migration levels faster than any migration in Flutter's history and was subsequently higher than before migration. Management sees significant opportunity over the next 12, 24 months and longer.
- UK and Ireland Gaming GrowthUKI delivered strong double digit gaming growth, supported by record engagement during the World Cup. Management said the restructuring is intended to position the business to gain market share in the post-tax environment while protecting investment in customers.
- Planned Operating and Capital SavingsIn addition to existing international cost transformation and UK gaming tax mitigation programs, Flutter expects to deliver an additional £500 million in gross operating cost and capital expenditure savings by 2029. Management said the work is well underway.
- Improved Free Cash Flow and RefinancingFree cash flow, including financing CapEx and excluding player funds, improved by 22% year over year. Flutter also refinanced its revolving credit facility and term loan A, extending its debt maturity profile and providing additional financial flexibility at competitive rates.
- World Cup Customer Acquisition and EngagementThe World Cup brought 2.3 million customers, with about a third reactivated. Flutter exited July with 600 thousand more customers than in the previous two years, while player frequency increased by 4% and bet count rose 15% in the quarter.

- Expected International EBITDA GrowthFor 2027, management expressed confidence in continued international EBITDA growth and expects to be at the high end of the 5% to 10% range, supported by cost initiatives and continued investment in the business.
- Planned CapEx ReductionFlutter reduced 2026 CapEx guidance to $815 million and expects CapEx to decline further in 2027 as part of its simplification measures.
