Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ), often referred to as Ericsson, is a Swedish company that delivers telecommunications infrastructure, services, and software solutions worldwide to telecom operators and various other sectors. Its business operations are structured into four main divisions: Networks, Digital Services, Managed Services, and Emerging Business and Other. The Networks segment focuses on radio access network (RAN) solutions, providing integrated high-performance hardware and software for diverse network spectrum bands. This division also offers integrated antenna and transport solutions, alongside a full suite of services that include network deployment and support. Ericsson's Digital Services segment develops software-based tools vital for business support systems, operational support systems, communication services, core network functionality, and cloud infrastructure. The Managed Services segment offers telecommunication operators expertise in network and IT management, network design and optimization, and application development and maintenance. The Emerging Business and Other segment includes new ventures and strategic initiatives such as Internet of Things (IoT) offerings, iconectiv, Cradlepoint (known for its wireless edge WAN 4G and 5G enterprise solutions), and media entities like Red Bee Media and MediaKind, among other developing businesses.
