Q4 2026 Earnings Call Summary

Q4 2026
Earnings Call Date:Nov 03, 2026|% Change Since:―|
Earnings Call Sentiment|Neutral

The call presented strong strategic momentum, including major AOS agreements, broad customer wins, entry into insurance through the $340 million EIS acquisition, internal productivity gains and a proposed dividend increase. However, these positives are substantially offset in the near term by the T-Mobile dispute and reduced spending, which drive expected fiscal 2027 declines of 7% to 11% in pro forma constant-currency revenue, approximately 200 to 210 basis points of operating-margin pressure and a 26% to 30% EPS decline. Management remains optimistic about a return to growth in fiscal 2028, but the near-term outlook is financially challenging.

Company Guidance

For fiscal 2027, Amdocs expects first-quarter revenue within a range of $955 million to $995 million, revenue to decline by between 14.3% and 17.9% as reported, and, after adjusting for the exit of nonstrategic business activities and the divestiture of the media business, revenue to decline by between 7% and 11% in pro forma constant currency; outside of T-Mobile, the rest of Amdocs' business is expected to grow mid-single digits, while non-GAAP operating margin is expected within a range of 19.2% to 19.8%, non-GAAP diluted earnings per share is expected to decline by between 26% to 30%, non-GAAP effective tax rate is expected within a range of 16% to 19%, and free cash flow before restructuring payments is expected in the range of $440 million to $500 million, equating to a conversion rate of 85% relative to non-GAAP net income; the quarterly cash payment is proposed to increase 3% to a new rate of $0.586 per share, and for fiscal 2028, while formal guidance is not being provided, Amdocs expects mid-single-digit revenue growth, high single-digit growth in non-GAAP diluted EPS and a steadily rising dividend.

  • Solid Fourth-Quarter Financial PerformanceQ4 revenue was approximately $1.194 billion, up 3.8% year-over-year as reported and 4% in constant currency. Free cash flow before restructuring payments was $202 million.
  • Fiscal 2026 Revenue and Earnings GrowthFiscal 2026 revenue was $4.697 billion, up 3.6% as reported and 3% in constant currency. Non-GAAP diluted EPS grew 6%, in line with the midpoint of the original guidance. Non-GAAP operating margin improved by 20 basis points to 21.6%.

  • Healthy Fiscal 2026 Cash FlowFree cash flow before restructuring payments was $729 million, at the high end of the $710 million to $730 million guidance range.
  • Landmark Eight-Year AT&T AOS AgreementAmdocs signed an 8-year strategic agreement with AT&T, its largest customer, to accelerate business transformation by combining Amdocs' Agentic Operating System with AT&T's AI capabilities. The companies will work as one delivery team to simplify complex work, improve efficiency, deliver products and experiences faster, and reduce the total cost of modernization and operating critical systems.
  • Multiple Major AOS Wins Across Global TelecomAmdocs signed three additional major strategic AOS deals during the quarter: a 10-year agreement with VEON, a multiyear agreement with Globe in the Philippines, and an agreement with VodafoneThree in the U.K. to upgrade B2B business support systems onto a new agentic enterprise platform. These wins add to the 10-year agreement with Liberty Latin America announced in the prior quarter.
  • Broad Customer Win MomentumAmdocs reported healthy demand and strong sales momentum across its broader products and services. Comcast renewed a multiyear managed services agreement, Millicom Chile signed a multiyear managed services agreement, Airtel India expanded its collaboration with Amdocs, and Magyar Telekom selected Amdocs for billing transformation and catalog modernization.
  • Managed Services Revenue GrowthManaged Services revenue increased approximately 1% in fiscal 2026. The quarter included new or expanded multiyear managed services agreements with Millicom Chile, Comcast and Airtel India, in addition to major AOS wins with AT&T, VEON, Globe and Liberty Latin America.
  • Entry Into Insurance SoftwareAmdocs selected insurance as its new vertical, citing the industry's large and growing market, regulated environments, complex mission-critical platforms and data-intensive workflows. The company plans to combine its AOS technology, transformation capabilities, scale and accountability model with insurance expertise.
  • EIS Acquisition Expands Addressable MarketAmdocs acquired EIS for $340 million in cash. EIS provides agentic insurance core systems spanning policy, billing, claims and customer engagement, serves dozens of insurance carriers globally, and has expertise in life and annuities as well as property and casualty. Amdocs described the acquisition as a strategic move to develop a new growth engine.
  • Internal Agentic Transformation ProgressAmdocs completed the rollout of its new agentic way of working across 10,000 employees and 800 hubs. The company reported significant productivity gains, established foundations for allocating AI usage and optimizing consumption, and began extending the program into knowledge work beyond engineering.
  • Portfolio Rationalization and Strategic FocusAmdocs optimized its products and services portfolio, ended or minimized investment in certain legacy products, ceased certain nonstrategic activities including hardware resale, sold Vubiquity to Premiere Digital, and minimized operations in certain territories. Management said these actions are intended to focus the company and build a stronger base for its agentic strategy.
  • Robust Business Excluding T-MobileManagement stated that the rest of Amdocs' business, excluding T-Mobile, is expected to grow in the mid-single digits in fiscal 2027. The company said this momentum is supported by AOS wins and broader demand across its core portfolio.
  • Strong Forward Backlog Visibility Excluding T-MobileThe 12-month backlog was $3.5 billion at the end of Q4. Excluding T-Mobile and after adjusting for Vubiquity and exited nonstrategic activities, backlog for the rest of Amdocs' business grew by mid-single digits year-over-year. Management said the backlog equates to roughly 90% of the fiscal 2027 revenue growth outlook.
  • Expected Quarterly Profitability ImprovementAlthough fiscal 2027 non-GAAP operating margin is expected to start well below the 19.5% midpoint of the annual guidance, management expects profitability to improve consistently during the year and reach the higher end of the annual guidance range by Q4.
  • Fiscal 2028 Return-to-Growth OutlookWhile formal fiscal 2028 guidance was not provided, management expects mid-single-digit revenue growth, high single-digit growth in non-GAAP diluted EPS and a steadily rising dividend in fiscal 2028, supported by AOS momentum, the insurance opportunity and internal transformation efforts.
  • Dividend Increase ProposedThe Board authorized a proposed 3% increase in the quarterly cash dividend, raising the proposed payment to $0.586 per share, subject to shareholder approval in January 2027.
  • Shareholder Returns ContinueAmdocs returned $142 million to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends in the fourth fiscal quarter. For fiscal 2027, the company expects to return the majority of its free cash flow to shareholders.
