Q3 2026 Earnings Call Summary
The call was predominantly positive. Corsair exceeded third-quarter guidance, delivered strong adjusted EBITDA and EPS growth, achieved record memory revenue, improved its cash position year over year, reported healthy holiday and product-launch momentum, and raised full-year guidance. These positives outweighed continued DIY weakness, memory supply and pricing constraints, execution-related peripheral timing issues, and an expected year-over-year decline in fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA due to normalization of memory gross margins.
For the fourth quarter of 2026, Corsair expects net revenue of $420 million-$450 million, adjusted EBITDA of $38 million-$42 million, and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.26-$0.31, with double-digit year-over-year growth in gamer and creator peripherals, memory supply availability expected to remain adequate, memory gross margin of approximately 18%-20%, and approximately 112 million diluted shares outstanding; fourth quarter adjusted EBITDA is anticipated to be below last year. For the full year 2026, Corsair now expects net revenue of $1.456 billion-$1.486 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $127 million-$131 million, and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.89-$0.94, compared with $0.85-$0.94 previously; the midpoint of full-year net revenue outlook is up approximately $36 million and the midpoint of adjusted EBITDA outlook is up $3 million. The company expects a more meaningful revenue contribution from AI workstations in the latter part of 2027 and beyond when semiconductor availability normalizes, and expects its sim motorbike to ship in the first quarter of 2027.
- Third-Quarter Results Exceeded GuidanceRevenue was $367 million, up 6% year over year and $17 million above the high end of the $320 million-$350 million guidance range. Adjusted EBITDA increased 38% to $22.4 million, and non-GAAP diluted EPS more than doubled to $0.13 from $0.06, exceeding the guided $0.12.
- Improved Profitability and Expense DisciplineOperating expenses increased by less than $1 million year over year, including Trak Racer, and decreased slightly excluding the acquisition. Gross profit increased 5% to $97.8 million, adjusted EBITDA margin expanded to 6.1% from 4.7%, GAAP operating loss narrowed to $1.6 million from $5.6 million, and GAAP net loss narrowed to $2.4 million from $10.4 million.
- Strong Nine-Month Profit GrowthFor the first nine months of 2026, revenue was essentially flat at $1.036 billion, while gross profit grew 13% to $318.1 million. Gross margin improved to 30.7% from 27.2%, and adjusted EBITDA nearly doubled to $89 million from $47 million.
- Record Memory PerformanceMemory revenue reached a record third-quarter level of $167.3 million, up 43% year over year, driven by strong demand, higher prices, sequential market-share gains, and supply-chain execution. Memory gross margin was 21.3% in the third quarter.
- Gaming Components and Systems GrowthGaming components and systems revenue grew 7% to $250.5 million. Gross profit increased 8% to $52.8 million, and gross margin rose to 21.1% from 20.9%. Pre-built systems grew across every category and more than offset weakness in DIY builds and standalone components.
- Inventory Positioned for Holiday DemandThe company increased inventory by $80 million sequentially to $344.6 million, including a deliberate $37 million increase in memory inventory and approximately $13 million added through Trak Racer. Management said it feels good about its inventory position heading into the holiday season and expects memory supply to remain adequate.
- Peripherals Backlog Supports Fourth-Quarter GrowthGamer and creator peripherals revenue grew 3% to $116.5 million. Several product launches shifted into the beginning of the fourth quarter, and the company exited the third quarter with $6 million-$7 million of additional peripherals-related backlog. With the hub transition completed and products arriving, management expects double-digit peripherals growth in the fourth quarter.
- Positive Holiday and GTA VI Demand IndicatorsChannel partners were described as optimistic ahead of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with orders coming through as expected and in some cases ahead of plan. The company also reported elevated bookings related to GTA VI demand for SCUF controllers, PlayStation 5 and Xbox products, and Elgato products, with additional benefit expected in the fourth quarter.
- Sim-Racing Portfolio ExpansionFanatec and Trak Racer now offer a more complete sim-racing setup, combining electronics with cockpits, seats, and accessories. The companies showed products together at the SimRacing Expo, where customers responded well. Trak Racer integration is expected to begin contributing in the fourth quarter, while the Trak Racer sim motorbike is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2027.
- New Product Launches and Technology DevelopmentCorsair launched PureVector in its SABRE v3 PRO mice, with testing showing improved accuracy and aim speed of up to 33%. Elgato launched Wave Go, its first noise-canceling wireless microphone for mobile recording and streaming. Corsair also launched VOXARA, combining a Corsair USB RGB gaming microphone with Elgato's Wave Link software.
- Elgato Marketplace and Ecosystem ExpansionElgato Marketplace added more than 1 million new accounts year over year. Management said new hardware launches brought many users to the platform and that the broader Corsair ecosystem is drawing more users onto it. Makers are also using AI tools to produce digital products at an accelerating pace.
- Direct-to-Consumer Mix IncreasedThe company reported that direct-to-consumer sales increased from roughly 13% of the mix to almost 20%, with plans to continue expanding the channel.
- Full-Year Guidance RaisedFull-year 2026 guidance was raised to revenue of $1.456 billion-$1.486 billion, adjusted EBITDA of $127 million-$131 million, and non-GAAP diluted EPS of $0.89-$0.94. The revenue midpoint increased by approximately $36 million and the adjusted EBITDA midpoint increased by $3 million versus prior guidance.
- Strong Cash Position Despite Acquisition and Inventory FundingCash and restricted cash ended the quarter at $136.2 million, up $70.2 million year over year and nearly double the year-ago balance. This was after funding the Trak Racer acquisition, partnership investments, and the inventory build.
- Strategic Growth Priorities Remain ActiveManagement remains focused on expanding sim racing, extending the Elgato and Stream Deck ecosystem, expanding Corsair Pro product lines, and deepening direct-to-consumer relationships. The company also said it will consider acquisitions that fit its valuation, earnings contribution, and integration requirements.
