Company Description
Kongsberg Automotive Holding ASA
Kongsberg Automotive ASA, headquartered in Kongsberg, Norway, is a global developer, manufacturer, and supplier of a wide array of products for the automotive industry. Its operations are structured into two primary divisions: Powertrain & Chassis and Specialty Products. The Powertrain & Chassis division focuses on engineering, producing, and rigorously testing bespoke solutions for vehicle powertrains and chassis. This includes a range of components such as gear shifters for both automatic and manual transmissions, intricate shift cables and tower assemblies, and advanced vehicle dynamics products for cabins and axles. Additionally, it provides gear and clutch control systems, often incorporating actuators. Conversely, the Specialty Products division delivers a diverse portfolio, featuring fluid handling systems and specialized coupling systems essential for compressed-air circuits in heavy-duty vehicles. This segment also develops operator control systems tailored for various applications, including power sports, construction, agriculture, outdoor power equipment, and power electronics. Kongsberg Automotive's clientele primarily consists of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier 1 suppliers across the automotive, commercial vehicle, and off-highway sectors. Established in 1957, the company initially operated under the name Kongsberg Automotive Holding ASA, before officially adopting its current designation, Kongsberg Automotive ASA, in August 2014.

KGAUF Earnings Call
Q2 2026
0:00 / 0:00
Earnings Call Sentiment|Positive
The call communicated a clear and broad improvement in financial performance: profitability turned positive (EUR 12m EBIT, 6.2% margin), net income returned to profit, cash generation and 12‑month cash flow turned strongly positive, revenue showed a three-quarter recovery trend, and leverage/ROCE materially improved. These operational gains were supported by structural cost reductions and meaningful contract awards (EUR 135m). Offsetting risks include unresolved warranty/recall cases with ongoing legal activity, recognized restructuring costs for footprint consolidation (China and France), segment-specific revenue weakness (Driveline), and external geopolitical/trade uncertainties. On balance, the positives (profitability, cash, leverage, contract momentum, and cost restructuring) substantially outweigh the outstanding issues and one-time items.View all KGAUF earnings summariesTechnical Analysis
